JSP expels three lawmakers in Lumbini Province, notifies PA Secretariat

KATHMANDU: The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) has expelled three members of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly (PA) and notified the PA Secretariat about it.

Lumbini JSP parliamentary party (PP) leader Sahas Ram Yadav said action was taken against PA members Santosh Kumar Pandey, Bijay Bahadur Yadav and Kalpana Pandey. He added that the JSP sought explanation from them for disobeying party whip on June 30 and the action proceeded as the party was unsatisfied with their answer.

The three have been dismissed as per Political Parties Act 2017.

Four JSP lawmakers had joined the Lumbini government against the party decision to stay in opposition. Among them, PA member Suman Sharma Rayamajhi had resigned and expressed commitment to abide by the party directives.
