These are the habits that damage kidneys

Kidneys are the vital organs of our body. They are a pair of organs located on either side of the spine, just below the rib cage in the back. Kidneys filter waste materials out of the blood and pass them out of the body as urine. People should quit the following habits to keep their kidneys safe and healthy, advises Dr Hem Raj Koirala.

1. Consuming high salt.

2. Not having enough rest.

3. Not drinking enough water.

4. Prolonged retention of urine.

5. Taking pain killer drugs.

6. Not treating infectious diseases in time.

7. Not treating diabetes.

8. Eating lots of fish, meat and eggs.

9. Drinking alcohol regularly.

10. Living with uncontrolled high blood pressure.

11. Taking medicine mixed with heavy metals.

12. Eating foods mixed with artificial colors.

13. Eating charred or rotten foods.
