Truck falls into Trishuli river, driver and the truck still missing



KATHMANDU: A truck and its driver have gone missing in the Trishuli River since 1 AM this morning.

According to DSP Yuva Raj Khadka of Area Police Office Gajuri, the truck fell into the Trishuli River at Charaundi, Jyamireghat, Dhading in Prithvi Highway.

The police record shows that the truck was loaded with clothes and was going to Kathmandu from Birgunj.

The police have found the evidences of the accident but the details of the truck and the driver are still not available.

“We have seen the marks of the truck accident, the goods are also lying on the ground, but both the truck and its driver are not found yet,” DSP Khadka said, adding, “The search is adversely affected to the flood in the river.”

The driver’s identity has not been revealed.
