Embossed number plates mandatory from mid-July



KATHMANDU: The government is making preparations to make embossed plate numbers mandatory on vehicles.

The Department of Transport has said that those vehicles which are being registered from July 16 and those being renewed have to compulsorily apply embossed number plates.

The embossed number plates are being made compulsory from mid- July with the aim of making the transport management scientific and systematic, said Director General of the Department Namraj Ghimire.

The decision on embossed number plate will apply to both two-wheelers and four wheelers.
