29.3 million recover from COVID-19 in India

NEW DELHI: Southern neighbor India has witnessed a sharp decline in the number of COVID-19 infection cases, of late.

India recorded 27,804 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 30,316,000.

Earlier, the daily infection cases had reached up to 400,000.

Currently, 559,124 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 29,359,208 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 397,600-mark.

With 907 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 397,668, according to the latest figures collated by the Worldometers.

Broken out in Wuhan City of China in December 2019, the coronavirus has killed 3,944,915 and infected 182,174,721 globally until the filing of this news.
