Poverty Alleviation Fund to be scrapped



KATHMANDU: The government is set to scrap the Poverty Alleviation Fund.

Unveiling the budget of the fiscal year 2021/22 Saturday, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel said so, adding, the government had allocated an appropriate budget to bring new programs to address those under the poverty line.

He also said identity cards would be issued to those under the poverty line.
