COVID-19: India records new 171,726 cases, 3,563 deaths

NEW DELHI: India recorded 171,726 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 27,719,431.

Currently, 2,226,095 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 25,170,952 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 322,300-mark.

With 3,563 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 322,384, according to the latest figures collated by the Worldometers.

Broken out in Wuhan City of China in December 2019, the coronavirus has killed 3,536,801 and infected 170,110,325 globally until the filing of this news.
