Nepal playing friendly football match with Iraq today



KATHMANDU: Nepal is playing a friendly football match with former Asian Champions Iraq on Saturday.

The match will take place at the Al Fayhaa International Football stadium in Basra, Iraq at 10:15 pm.

A 36-member team including 23 players has already reached Iraq. The Nepali team reached Basra on Wednesday.

Nepal is playing a friendly match with Iraq as a part of preparation for the Asian Cup Qualifier and FIFA World Cup.

Iraq ranks 68th and Nepal 171st under FIFA raking as issued by FIFA on Thursday.

This is the fourth time Nepal is taking on Iraq.

Earlier, Nepal had played three football matches with Iraq. Nepal had lost all the matches to Iraq.
