UML leader Rawal refuses to accept party action

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Bhim Rawal has refuted the party action of suspending him for six months on Monday.

On his social media account, Rawal has written that the decision taken by UML Chairman and Prime Minister KP Oli was illegal as it was not in line with the party constitution and the mandate of the 9th National Convention. He has also condemned the action taken against him.

Rawal has argued that Chair Oli, who removed party office-bearers of UML Central Committee (CC) elected from the 9th National Convention, himself was not legitimate and he would not accept the decision endorsed by an illegitimate Chairman.

He termed the party action tyrannical and arbitrary.

Prime Minister Oli suspended leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal and Rawal from the party for six months, concluding that the two were acting against party interests and their clarifications failed to satisfy the leadership.
