Meet between UML leader Nepal and Prachanda underway in Koteshwor

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ are holding discussion at the residence of an industrialist in Koteshwor, Kathmandu, on Monday afternoon.

The two leaders had formed a united front against Prime Minister KP Oli after the UML and Maoist Center merged to form the Nepal Communist Party (NCP). However, after Supreme Court’s March 7 decision forced both to part ways as UML and Maoist Center were revived.

They hold meetings from time to time to strategize the unification of communist forces and to criticize Oli-attitude.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court (SC) has started hearing the case filed against former Prime Minister duo Nepal and Dr Baburam Bhattarai of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) on the Lalita Niwas land grab case.

A joint bench of Justices Anil Kumar Sinha and Hari Prasad Phuyal is hearing the debate.
