Eight injured in Syangja bus mishap



SYANGJA: Eight people were injured when a Tata Winger heading for Kathmandu from Chapakot of Syangja met with an accident at Waling-Chapakot road section on Monday morning.

According to DSP Rajendra Prasad Adhikari, the spokesperson of Syangja Police, Ga 1 Kha 9594, a Tata Winger en-route to Kathmandu from Chapakot met with an accident at Bisauniraj of Waling-Chapakot road section at around 8 am this morning.

The police said the accident took place when the passenger bus slid backwards and fell some 15 meters down from the road, leaving eight passengers on board injured.

The injured have been identified as Sabitra Gaire, 23, of Waling-13, Satuma Khatun, 34, her daughter Afriya Khatun, 10, Majboon Miah, 31, and his three-year-old son Mohammad Miah and 10-year old son daughter Mahbuba Khatun of Bhirkot-1, Syangja.

Similarly, Jadida Khatun, 14, of Bhirkot-1 and Falida Begum, 27, of Putalibazar-10 are also injured in the accident.
