US Ambassador Berry, NA Chief Thapa discuss issues of mutual interest

KATHMANDU: US Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry has called on Chief of Army Staff Purna Chandra Thapa.

During the courtesy call at the Nepal Army (NA) headquarters on Friday, they discussed issues of mutual interest.

The NA said that is confident that such regular meetings will further help in deepening the relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Berry has intensified meetings of late following the victory of Joe Biden as US President.

Earlier, Berry called on Prime Minister KP Oli, President Bidya Devi Bhandari, former Prime Ministers Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda, Madhav Kumar Nepal, Sher Bahadur Deuba among others, and apprised them of the new US presidential administration’s priorities.
