Five arrested with Rs 3.8 million from New Road



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested five persons from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-22, New Road with Rs 3.8 million.

Police have also recovered 24 checks bearing Rs 2.28 million from them.

The arrested are Nawaraj Rawat, 27, Sanjay Budha, 28, Gopal Rawat, 30, of Humla, Sanumaya Tamang, 27, of Makwanpur and Bhimsen Bahadur Tamang, 27, of Sindhupalchok.

Police from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Janasewa, arrested them while they were roaming around the New Road area.

The law enforcement agency said that they will be handed over to the Department of Money Laundering Investigation, Pulchowk for necessary action.
