BIRATNAGAR: The Prachanda-Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is staging a mass demonstration against the dissolution of House of Representatives (HoR) in Biratnagar on Friday.
Chairman duo of the faction Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias ‘Prachanda’, Madhav Kumar Nepal and senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal among others will address the mass meeting.
Nepal and Khanal reached Biratnagar to participate in the program on Thursday itself while Prachanda is leaving for Biratnagar to attend the program in a while, said an NCP leader close to Dahal.
The Prachanda-Nepal faction has claimed that over 60,000 NCP cadres and leaders will present in the mass demonstration.
The disgruntled faction had organized a protest rally in Butwal on Thursday under the third phase of protest programs.
The Prachanda-Nepal faction, opposition parties including Nepali Congress have been demonstrating against the dissolution of the HoR after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli dissolved it on December 20.
