SAURAHA: CPN-UML Deputy General Secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal has refused to meet Chairman KP Oli after the Saturday’s closed session at the party’s 10th General Convention taking place in Chitwan since Friday.

According to UML sources, Chairman Oli had invited Bhusal to Hotel Park Safari Resort through General Secretary Bishnu Poudel on Sunday.

“Chairman Oli didn’t call himself. It is through Bishnu Poudel,” said a leader close to Bhusal, adding, “Given the mentality of the leadership does not change it is no use meeting him.”

Leader Bhusal had reminded that his claim was for the post of senior vice-chairman and he did not intend to back down from it.

General Secretary Poudel had told Bhusal that the meeting was meant for the discussion on the new theory of organization the party intended to adopt after the general convention. However, Bhusal replied that he did not believe in such things.

Bhusal and Vice-Chairman Bhim Rawal have expressed disagreement after the closed session on Saturday gave Chairman Oli the right to select from office bearers to central committee members.
