Jajarkot bus accident: Identity of five deceased ascertained

Seriously injured to be sent to Nepalgunj by helicopter



JAJARKOT: The identity of five people, who died in a bus accident in Jajarkot on Sunday, has been identified.

The deceased have been identified as Sandhya Malla Shahi, 24, of Athabiskot Municipality-5, Rukum West; her four-year-old daughter Divya Shahi; Sher Bahadur Pariyar of Nalgad Municipality-10, Jajarkot; Anila Nepali, 18, of Kushe Village Municipality-9; and Gangaram Yadav, 40, of Saptari.

The bus heading to Jajarkot from Nepalgunj met with an accident at Barakhola near Bheri Municipality-13 about 10 km from the district headquarters.

The bus — Na 6 Kha 2757 — that had left Nepalgunj on Saturday night fell about 200 meters from the road, police said.

Twenty-eight people, including the driver, were injured in the accident.

According to the District Police Office, the condition of three of the injured is critical.

Chief of the District Police Office, Jajarkot, Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhu Kumar Thapa informed that preparations have been made to send them to Nepalgunj by helicopter.
