Nepal records 591 new COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 199 fresh coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 591 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 527 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 64 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 157 persons in Kathmandu, 30 in Lalitpur, and 12 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 199 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 2 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 664 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
