HoR meeting adjourned till Nov 15

UML's sloganeering continued Thursday as well



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) has been adjourned till November 15.

The next meeting will be held at 1 pm on November 15.

Speaker Agni Sapkota adjourned the meeting after CPN-UML lawmakers obstructed the meeting at the federal parliament building in New Baneshwor Thursday as well.

As soon as the meeting of the HoR commenced today, UML lawmakers obstructed the meeting by chanting slogans against Speaker Agni Sapkota.

UML lawmakers have been expressing their dissatisfaction regarding the role of Speaker Sapkota in the split of party since the first sitting of the ninth session of the current parliament and have continuously obstructed parliament sittings.

Meanwhile, despite the UML’s obstruction, Speaker Sapkota took the proceedings forward before adjourning the meeting.

Speaker Sapkota read out a letter from the President’s Office saying that the Minister of Industry has resigned and the ministry has been handed over to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
