Federal democratic republic, inclusiveness and proportional system be promoted: Minister Bhusal



LALITPUR: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal has asserted that values such as federal democratic republic, inclusiveness and proportional system achieved through the sacrifice of thousands of martyrs should be promoted.

Garlanding the statue of social worker and peasant leaders Astaman Maharjan and Chandra Bahadur Maharjan at Siddipur of Mahalaxmi Municipality-6 in Lalitpur on Monday, Minister Bhusal reaffirmed her commitment to move ahead protecting the rights of citizens as well as values and systems such as federal democratic republic, inclusiveness and proportional system.

Expressing her commitment to discharge her duties diligently, both as a people’s representatives and responsible candidate of a revolutionary political party, Bhusal said that the roles played by Astaman and Chandra Bahadur for the greater good of the public will be remembered forever.

Reminiscing Astaman and Chandra Bahadur as the valiant crusaders of the communist movement in the country, the Minister said that the two were established as the revolutionary leaders of the poor and oppressed people. She said, “We were successful in promulgating the Constitution thanks to the sacrifice of the millions of martyrs such as Astaman and Chandra Bahadur.”
