Four top leaders holding “secret” meeting to finalize names of ministers



KATHMANDU: Four leaders of the ruling alliance are scheduled to hold a “secret” meeting to finalize the names of the ministers.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Janata Samajbadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav, and CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal to expand the Council of Ministers by Thursday.

The venue of the discussion to be held on Wednesday evening has not been disclosed.

According to a source, UML leader Nepal has also been invited to the meeting.

The meeting will be attended by top leaders only as the involvement of other leaders will lead to confusion and may linger the process, a leader said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Maoist Center Prachanda is discussing the issue of finalizing the names of the ministers from his party with his close lawmakers in Khumaltar.

A meeting of the ruling alliance on Wednesday morning decided to entrust the top leaders to finalize the names of the ministers.
