CPN-Maoist Center SC meeting postponed citing lack of preparations

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the CPN-Maoist Center Standing Committee (SC) has been postponed due to lack of preparations.

The party had earlier decided to hold the meeting at 3 pm on Wednesday and finalize the names of the Maoist leaders to become ministers.

However, the meeting was postponed due to a lack of necessary preparations, said Dev Prasad Gurung, chief whip of the party.

Meanwhile, a meeting of the ruling coalition held in Baluwatar on Wednesday morning decided to entrust the responsibility of selecting the minister to the party’s top leaders.

Prime Minister Deuba has urged the leaders of the coalition parties to submit the names of the ministers at the earliest.
