RJM Chair KC warns of quitting coalition if MCC endorsed

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Janamorcha (RJM) Nepal Chairman Chitra Bahadur KC has urged Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba not to run after the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

Talking to Khabarhub after the meeting, leader KC lashed out at the coalition government alleging that it was bent on bolstering the MCC and federalism rather than prioritizing the control of COVID-19 pandemic.

“Our leaders’ outlook did not improve. Their concern is how to pass MCC and preserve federalism,” said KC, said KC, adding, “COVID-19 should be given the first priority given the present context.”

Meanwhile, KC also warned in the meeting that if the government takes the initiative in passing the MCC, he will quit the alliance.

There has been a press release that the issue of the MCC was discussed during a telephone conversation with the US Secretary of State on Tuesday evening.

In today’s meeting of the coalition, the government dwelled on how to pass the MCC.
