Nepal records 2,444 new COVID-19 cases, 42 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 514 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,444 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,509 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 935 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 355 persons in Kathmandu, 112 in Lalitpur, and 47 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 514 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 42 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 3,853 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
