Five student unions to hit streets against HoR dissolution

KATHMANDU: Five students’ organizations have announced to hit the streets and burn effigies in protest of the dissolution of House of Representatives (HoR).

A joint meeting of five students’ organizations – Nepal Student Union (NSU), All Nepal National Independent Students Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R), All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), Socialist Students Union and All Nepal National Free Students Union (Sixth) held on Monday decided to burn an effigy in the Kathmandu Valley on June 30 and July 1.

The meeting also decided to hand over a memorandum to the Vice Chancellor of Tribhuvan University and National Examination Board on June 29.

They have demanded that TU should not charge fees to the stuents during the lockdown period.
