UK provides Nepal medical supplies to fight COVID-19

KATHMANDU:  The United Kingdom (UK) is distributing medical supplies in the areas badly hit by the COVID-19.

Posting a twitter message today, British Ambassador to Nepal Nicola Pollitt said the UK-funded humanitarian aid is now being distributed in the areas where they are badly needed in the country.

Ambassador Pollitt said the medical supplies will be distributed today to help Nepal in its fight against the COVID-19  and will also manitor to make sure the supplies have been distributed in proper areas effectively.

Earlier this morning, medical supplies donated by the United Kingdom (UK) arrived in Kathmandu.

A total of 260 ventilators and 19, 200 face-shields were brought via a chartered flight.

Ambassador Pollitt handed over these medical goods to Health Minister Hridayesh Tripathi at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) this morning.
