Two die of COVID-19 in Birgunj this morning



BIRGUNJ: Two people infected with COVID-19 have died in the course of treatment at Narayani Hospital on Wednesday morning.

A 30-year-old woman of Shabarna municipality-7, Bara and 43-year-old man of Dangaha-4, Sarlahi succumbed to the pandemic, said the hospital.

According to Dr Saroj Roshan, the COVID-19 coordinator of the Narayani Hospital, the man who was suffering from pneumonia and respiratory complications passed away at 1:45 am and the woman breathed her last at 12:15 am today.

The man had been admitted to the hospital on Aril 27 and tested for the virus on the same day while the woman had tested positive for the virus through antigen method on April 26.

A many as 11 people infected with COVID-19 have passed away in the district in the past three days, said District Administration Office, Parsa.
