PM Oli hints at forging an agreement with Biplav faction soon

JHAPA: Prime Minister KP Oli has claimed that an agreement with the outlawed Biplav-led faction would be reached soon.

Laying the foundation stone of the China-Nepal Friendship Industrial Park in Jhapa Sunday, PM Oli said, “We will address the demands of the outlawed Netra Bikram Chand faction on through talks soon.”

The government had banned the faction since March 12, 2019, alleging it for involving in subversive activities.

Prime Minister Oli has stepped up dialogue with the rebel group after the ruling Nepal Communist Party of Nepal (NCP) witnessed a vertical split.

It should be noted that the General Secretary of the faction Biplab has also hinted at sitting for talks with the government.
