KATHMANDU: Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadhur Thapa ‘Badal’ has dismissed his personal secretary Biru Tamang for the latter’s loyalty to Prachanda-Nepal faction of Nepal Communist Party (NCP).

According to the Home Ministry sources, Home Minister Thapa alleged his personal secretary Tamang of being in league with NCP Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and former Minister Barsha Man Pun.

Tamang was a former Maoist militant and had been working at the Home Minister’s secretariat since Thapa was appointed as Home Minister.

Earlier, after Prime Minister KP Oli’s dissolution of House of Representatives on December 20, Home Minister Thapa’s Chief Advisor Surya Subedi had resigned from the post.
