Three arrested with red panda hides in Banke



BANKE: Police have arrested three people from a hotel at Chappergauri in Kohalpur Municipality-12 of Banke with two hides of red panda.

The arrested are Dal Bahadur Shahi, 40, of Bheriganga Municipality-10 of Surkhet, Dhan Bahadur Shahi, 42, of Junichandi Rural Municipality-11 of Jajarkot and Bharat Bahadur, 33, of Kupindedaha Municipality-4 of Salyan.

A joint police team from Lumbini Province Police Office and Area Police Office, Kohalpur found them in room 113 of the hotel and arrested them along with hides hidden in a bag.

They have been sent to Banke National Park Office for further investigation and action, according to the District Police Office, Banke.
