Let’s wear masks and stop providing garlands and scarves at programs: Shekhar Koirala



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Shekhar Koirala has said that wearing masks should be made mandatory rather than welcoming with garlands and traditional ceremonial scarves.

Taking to social media, leader Koirala said that party programs should be held in the midst of the risk of the coronavirus, adding that providing flowers and scarves should be stopped to reduce the risk.

“We are still at high risk from COVID-19,” he said, “In the midst of the risk, the party’s activities and programs have to be carried out. I humbly urge all party members to wear masks and stop providing garlands, flowers, and scarves,” he said.
