Maoist Center to have 299 members in Central Committee



KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center is planning to have 299 members in the party’s Central Committee.

According to Maoist Center sources, presenting a draft legislation in the closed session of the Eighth General Convention of the Maoist Center, Leader Dev Gurung proposed to have 15 members as office bearers and 299 members in central committee.

The 15 member office bearers include one chairman, one senior vice-chairman, six vice-chairmen, one general secretary, two deputy general secretaries, three secretaries and a treasurer.

Gurung has proposed to make the office bearers inclusive. He has proposed the proposal of nominating 10 percent of the Central Committee members.
