Maoist Gen Convention: 7-member presidium formed as closed session continues



KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) has formed a seven- member presidium.

Leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha has presented the names of presidium to smoothly run the Eighth General Convention of the Maoist Center.

Members of the presidium include Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Giriraj Mani Pokharel, Ganesh Shah, Parshu Ram Tamang, Parshu Ram Ramtel, Purna Kumari Subedi and Rupa Shrestha Maharjan.

The closed session of the general convention has already endorsed the names of presidium.

The political document presented by chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and the other reports including the party statute have been submitted in the closed session underway at Nepal Academy Hall.

Currently, Maoist Center leaders are deliberating on the Prachanda’s dossier in the national conference by forming more than 20 groups.

Secretary of the Maoist Center’s Central Office, Shree Ram Dhakal, informed that the General Convention, which has an agenda to select a new leadership along with endorsing the political report and the statute will continue till Thursday.
