Two engineers killed as pipe explodes in Dudhkoshi hydro project



SOLUKHUMBU: Two people have died and the other one sustained critical injuries after a pipe laid down in the Solukhola Dudhkoshi hydroelectricity project exploded.

The pipe had exploded during testing on Sunday evening at the 86-megawatt Dudhkoshi hydroelectricity project based at Thulung Dudhkoshi rural municipality-3.

The decease have been identified as engineer duo Suwas Raj Regmi of Achham and Arjun Thapa, 29, of Kavre, said Chief District Officer Ganesh Bikram Shahi.

Injured Mohammad Rain, the project manager of hydro mechanical company , is undergoing treatment at Grande International Hospital, said Shahi.
