Dahal resigns from executive director of NC policy institute



KATHMANDU:  Professor Purushottam Dahal has tendered resignation from the post of Executive Director at Central Policy Research and Training Institute of the Nepali Congress.

He tendered resignation addressing the newly elected President of Nepali Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba, to be effective from December 24.

Dahal resigned from the post in a bid to ease the newly elected President and Vice Presidents to work in a new way in light of the changed context.

He also sent his registration to then Vice President Bimalendra Nidhi, and newly elected Vice Presidents Purna Bahadur Khadka and Dhanraj Gurung. During his term, Dahal suggested the NC for its ideological clarity and policy reform to restore the party aura.

Professor Dahal served at the Institute for more than three years.

Retired from University teaching, he is currently editors of the national daily, the Himalayan Times, and also harekpal.com news portal.

He has spent more than four decades in Nepali journalism.
