Leaders of political parties from friendly nations offer best wishes to UML 10th National Convention



CHITWAN: Leaders of various political parties from friendly nations have offered best wishes on the occasion of ongoing 10th National Congress of CPN UML at Sauraha, Chitwan, Saturday.

Some of the Foreign dignitaries offered best wishes by being present physically on the occasion while others did virtually. The closed session was chaired by UML Chair KP Sharma Oli and run by party General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel.

Those who were present physically on the occasion were Abdullah Al Kafi Chowdhury of the Communist Party of Bangladesh, Jogendra Sharma of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), Pallab Sengupta of the Communist Party of India and Suos Yara of the Cambodian People’s Party.

On the occasion, they collectively stressed the need for further strengthening relations between their respective country and Nepal.

On Friday on the inaugural program, Harsh Vardhan of the Bharatiya Janata Party was present.

Similarly during the event, a video message sent by Chen Zhou, Vice Minister of the International Department of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Central Committee, was displayed.

Similarly, messages of best wishes sent by various political leaders of countries including Turkey, Russia, Vietnam and Sri Lanka were read out. Also, Chief of the Foreign Affairs Department of the UML, Dr Rajan Bhattarai, read out a message of best wishes sent by Sonia Gandhi, President of the Indian National Congress.

In the video message, Vice Minister of the International Department of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Central Committee Chen Zhou praised the UML’s role as a communist force that is embracing the path of development in Nepal.

The CCP expressed that it wanted to see the relationship between the UML and other leftist parties strengthen.

The CPC informed about the recent celebration of its centenary, where the major achievements of the century-long effort were reviewed and, offered to share those learnings.
