Cabinet decisions: Journo Subedi appointed Executive Chairman of Gorkhaparta

KATHMANDU: The cabinet has appointed journalist Bishnu Prasad Subedi as the Executive Chairman of Gorkhapatra Corporation.

A cabinet meeting held at the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar on Monday decided in this regard.

According to Cabinet , the cabinet meeting also approved the Second Amendment Order 2078 for the control of chemical fertilizers and decided to table a bill to make provision for the regulation of acid and other hazardous chemicals in the federal parliament.

Karki informed that the cabinet also decided to introduce a bill in the federal parliament to make arrangements for the swearing in of public office holders.

Likewise, the meeting allowed to table the bill to amend the Nepal Police and State Police Operation, Supervision and Coordination Act 2021 in the federal parliament, said spokesperson Karki.

The cabinet also approved resignations submitted by Social Welfare Council Vice President Padam Prasad Khatiwada, Treasurer Loknath Subedi and Member Secretary Puskar Khati, among others.
