UML lawmakers should be ashamed to walk into parliament: JSP Chair Bhattarai

KATHMANDU: Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Federal Council Chairman Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has said the main opposition should feel ashamed to walk into the parliament after having dissolved it twice. He challenged the CPN-UML lawmakers to resign.

Speaking on the premises of the House of Representatives Monday, he said that the UML lawmakers should resign and go amongst the people if they had tint of morality instead of continuously obstructing the parliament.

Bhattarai added that it was a matter of shame for the UML to talk about the supremacy of the constitution and parliamentary dignity after saying they did not accept Supreme Court’s decision of restoration of parliament.

Recalling that he resigned from the parliament after leaving the Maoist party in the past, he said, “If they have even a little bit of morality, they should resign and go among the people.”

Bhattarai remarked that UML had shown shamelessness by creating obstructions in the parliament.
