Speaker executes HoR proceeding despite UML obstruction

Next meeting scheduled for September 30

KATHMANDU: Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has continued the Monday’s proceeding of the House of Representatives despite the obstruction from the main opposition party CPN-UML.

After Speaker Sapkota started the proceedings of the meeting, UML lawmakers rose from their seats and chanted slogans.

However, as the UML lawmakers’ chanting continued, Speaker Sapkota reminded them of the constitutional provision that the issues under consideration in the court cannot be discussed in the House.

Yet, the UML did not stop chanting slogans against him.

Yet, in the midst of the sloganeering, Speaker Sapkota handed over a letter from the President’s Office confirming the Appropriation Bill.

Similarly, Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat Gopal Nath Yogi informed that the Finance Bill and the National Debt Raising Bill have been passed by the National Assembly.

According to Monday’s agenda, the meeting ended with completing the set agendas in 10 minutes.

The next meeting of the House of Representatives will be held on September 30.
