Buddha Air aircraft diverted to Kathmandu from Biratnagar makes safe landing at TIA



KATHMANDU: An aircraft of Buddha Air which was diverted to Kathmandu after it could not land at Biratnagar Airport has made a safe landing at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

The aircraft, which had to be held for around two hours in the sky of Kathmandu, has safely landed at TIA few minutes earlier, said a TIA source.

The TIA had been kept on a high alert with ambulances and fire engines prior to the force-landing of the aircraft.

It was diverted to Kathmandu after notching some problems in its landing gear, according to the pilot.
