Both HoR and NA holding meetings today



KATHMANDU: Meetings of both the houses of the Federal Parliament are taking place today.

A meeting of the House of Representatives has been scheduled for 2 pm while that of National Assembly will take place at 11 pm, according to the Parliament Secretariat.

Parliament Secretariat has informed that the Financial Bill and the National Date Raising Bill submitted by Finance Minister Janardan Sharma will be tabled for endorsement in the NA meeting.

Similarly, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will table Food Hygiene and Quality Bill, Public Service Broadcasting Bill, Record Protection (Fist Amendment) Bill, Security Printing Bill in the meeting for clause-wise deliberation.

Likewise, Chairman of the Legislative Management Committee Parshuram Meghi Gurung will present the report of the committee on the Immigration Bill 2076 before the meeting, according to the secretariat.

In the House of Representatives, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota is likely to read out a letter from the President’s Office regarding the verification of the Bill.
