Nepal sees 2,065 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 2,065 new cases of coronavirus while 2,337 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 1,577 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 488 from antigen method.

There had been 13,117 tests carried out in past 24 hours out of which 8,752 were RT-PCR tests and 4,365 were antigen.

Likewise, there are 454 cases in Kathmandu, 92 in Bhaktapur and 169 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the Valley to 715.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 25 infected patients died of the infection in the past 24 hours. With the recent death toll, total deaths caused due to COVID-19 reached 10,663 in the country.
