KATHMANDU: Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has handed over the names of the candidates for the Province Chief to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
According to sources, Amik Sherchan has been recommended for Gandaki and Tilak Pariyar for Province 2. They served as Province Chiefs before UML Chair KP Sharma Oli-led government sacked them.
A Standing Committee meeting of CPN-Maoist Center held in Parish Danda, Kathmandu on Tuesday decided to continue the province chiefs removed by the then Prime Minister Oli.
Earlier, Chairman Prachanda had met Prime Minister Deuba to discuss the issue of cabinet expansion Tuesday morning.
