Valley CDOs meeting ends; official decision on prohibitory order tomorrow

KATHMANDU: A meeting of Chief District Officers (CDOs) of the three districts of Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur) has concluded without an official decision on modalities to extending the prohibitory order.

The CDOs agreed, in principle, to extend the prohibitory order on Sunday but with what measures (modalities) and for how long has not been decided, and will be decided on Monday, said Kathmandu CDO Kali Prasad Parajuli. He said a proposal regarding the operation of public transport was also discussed in the meeting; however, an official decision would be taken only after holding mutual discussions.

“Today’s meeting agreed to extend the prohibitory order but how and for how long will be decided tomorrow.”

A meeting of Lalitpur District Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (DCCMC) today decided to take the proposal of public transport operation to DCCMC meetings of all the three districts.
