NEPSE increases by 27.38 points



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has increased by 27.38 points on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

With today’s increment, the index has reached 2870.38 points.

A total of 20.94 million shares of 227 companies traded 82,055 times resulting in a turnover of 7.16 billion.

Likewise, the Banking group increased by 38 points, trade by 47 points, hydropower by 76 points, manufacturing by 28 points, others by 5 points, and microfinance group by 4 points while Hotels and tourism declined by 42 points, development banks by 59 points, finance by 39 points, and non-life insurance group by 40 points.

Century Commercial Bank and Upper Tamakoshi increased by 10 percent today.

Similarly, United IDI Mardi RB Hydropower Limited increased by 7 percent while Ridi Hydropower Development Company Ltd and Civil Bank up by 6 percent.

The value of Gorkha Finance has declined by 4 percent while the value of Progressive Finance has declined by 3.5 percent.

National Hydropower topped the list in terms of turnover. The company had a turnover of Rs 400 million and the price has increased by 5 percent. Similarly, Century Commercial Bank had a turnover of Rs. 370 million.
