UML calls General Convention Organizing Committee meeting on June 30



KATHMANDU: The ruling CPN-UML has decided to convene a meeting of the party’s General Convention Organizing Committee on June 30.

UML Spokesperson Pradip Gyawali said that the meeting of the Standing Committee held in Baluwatar on Sunday decided to hold the meeting of the 10th National General Convention Organizing Committee in Kathmandu at 11 am on June 30.

“The meeting has been called on June 30 since there are some issues to be finalized,” Gyawali said.

Likewise, today’s meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar also decided to expedite the renewal of party membership.

Sunday’s meeting also discussed the latest political developments, including the disgruntled faction led by senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.
