Upper Tamakoshi to carry out test production from today

KATHMANDU: The Upper Tamakoshi Hydroelectric Project is set to carry out a test production starting today.

The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) said the test production will be carried out from June 27 to July 3.

The NEA said that it will also include managing the transmission line to connect the electricity to the national grid.

The 132 KV Khimti-Lamosanghu corridor will, meanwhile, remain closed during the period, according to the NEA.

Project chief Bigyan Shrestha informed that they will conduct the testing of the first unit of the plant from June 27 after the successful testing of an eight-kilometer-long tunnel.
