Delhi eases Covid curbs: Gyms to reopen with 50 percent capacity



NEW DELHI: The Delhi government has eased Covid-19 curbs as India’s capital city has witnessed a continued decline in Covid-19 cases and positivity rate.

With the overall situation improving in the city, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority has issued a fresh guideline for phase 5 of Delhi ‘unlock’.

The relaxations will come into force from Monday, according to India Today.

Yoga institutes and gymnasiums will be allowed to operate with 50 percent capacity in Delhi.

Likewise, marriage halls, banquet halls and hotels have also been allowed to hold wedding ceremonies with a maximum of 50 guests, it said.

The notice has stated that the prohibited and restricted activities in Delhi will continue till 5 am on July 5.
