NC Prez Deuba alleges President Bhandari for violating constitution

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has alleged President Bidya Devi Bhandari for violating the Constitution.

He came down heavily on President Bhandari for dissolving the parliament at midnight rather than calling all political parties for a discussion.

“Rather than endorsing the Prime Minister’s recommendation, the President should have invited all political parties to discuss the future course of action,” Deuba said today while giving a message of good wishes on the occasion of the establishment of Nepal Press Union.

Deuba further said that he was confident that the Supreme Court would deliver justice to them hoping that the SC would bar the President and the Prime Minister from making unnecessary interference in the constitution.

NC President Deuba also suggested Prime Minister KP Oli to read Article 76 (5) of the Constitution.
