Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll reaches 3,194 with 18 new fatalities

KATHMANDU: As many as 18 COVID-19 patients have reportedly succumbed to the coronavirus pandemic in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new deaths have taken the country’s death toll to 3,194 as of Tuesday afternoon.

Out of 18 reported toll cases, 12 have died in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Nepal recorded a total of 4,524 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 4,364 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 160 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 1,602 persons in Kathmandu, 240 in Lalitpur, and 124 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, as of Tuesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, 278506 persons have returned home after complete health recovery from COVID-19.
