UML leader Nepal for sensing time and moving forward

KATHMANDU: Senior leader of the CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that time had not yet come to abandon the struggle inside the party.

Speaking at a discussion organized by Nagarik Andolan in Kathmandu Saturday, leader Nepal said one should make sense of time and circumstances, and move forward.

Stating that a political party should function as per its statute and the country as per its constitution, leader Nepal said, “The tradition of running the party in accordance to its statute has been fading. We are seeking a remedy to such ill-tradition.”

To a participant’s query regarding the ouster of Prime Minister KP Oli at the discussion, the senior leader said the incumbent government would continue until it had the support of Mahantha and Minendra.

Janata Samajbadi Party Central Council Chairman Mahantha Thakur, Nepali Congress leader Minendra Rijal and Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ were also in attendance at the discussion
